The Boonville Black River Canal Museum board is pleased to announce the conclusion of their 2025 poster contest.
Adirondack Central Middle School and Senior High School Art students were challenged to produce posters showing some aspect of the Black River Canal and museum. The only requirement was the inclusion of the canal museum logo in their work.
The board said the results they received were simply amazing in the categories of quality and quantity. The dozens of entries made the judging difficult for Dick Ulrich and Joan VerSchneider.
The Junior High finalists were Ariel Cormier in first place and Molly Seigers as runner-up. The High School finalists were Lillian Dennison in first place and Carry Turner as runner-up.
The first place finalists received a certificate and $100 and the runner-ups received a certificate and $50.
The posters will be displayed at various locations and at the canal museum during the summer, so look for them in town this summer!
Congratulations to all the students who participated.
